Saree Care Guide

Each ARANKIYA saree is a handwoven masterpiece that deserves thoughtful care. Follow this guide to ensure your saree remains as radiant and pristine as the day it arrived.

Washing

  • Always dry clean silk sarees
  • Hand wash cotton & linen in cold water
  • Use mild, pH-neutral detergent
  • Never wring or twist
  • Rinse with cold water only

Ironing

  • Iron silk on lowest heat setting
  • Always use a cotton cloth in between
  • Iron on the reverse side only
  • Never iron zari / gold work directly
  • Steam iron for georgette sarees

Storage

  • Wrap in a clean muslin cloth
  • Avoid plastic bags β€” causes yellowing
  • Store in a cool, dry place
  • Add neem leaves to deter insects
  • Refold every 3–4 months

Long-Term Storage Tips

⚠️ Never store sarees in plastic covers for extended periods β€” plastic traps moisture and can cause the fabric to yellow and weaken over time.
